This stable is a rustic example of openness with just the right amount of restraint. Each stall displays Armour's standard bar top sliding door which features the #1 horizontal 6” tongue and groove lumber panels. Each lumber panel is given a generous application of Thompson's water treatment on the front, rear and edges of lumber prior to insertion into the aluminum door frame. Mrs. Ficken opted to maintain an open stall front to allow each horse to browse the aisleway and increased the height of the stall front wall to prevent horses from trying to jump out.
