Armour Dutch Doors Overview
Half Dutch Doors
Double Dutch Doors
Armour manufactures a variety of barn doors, including barn Dutch Doors. Horse stall Dutch doors can be a simple 4'0" half gate or two double panels which allow the top and bottom to open and close independently.
Half Dutch Doors are used to retain horses in their stall and are the most economical of hinged stall gate systems. Double Dutch doors are primarily used on the back of stalls to allow access to the back paddock area. The solid double door top can be left open to allow ventilation and lower door closed to retain horse in stall. In some cases double dutch doors are used in the front of the stall. When this is necessary, half dutch bar top doors are recommended to promote adequate airflow.
Half Dutch Doors
Half Dutch Doors arrive fully assembled with the highest quality materials available in the industry. There are no loose pieces, lumber to buy and nothing to put together. Armour offers a complete line of lumber fascias: the time honored crossbuck "x", the traditional tongue and groove, or a smoothie. All lumber is surrounded by heavy gauge, non rusting, aluminum channels and miter cut corners. Half Dutch Doors arrive with unmarred lumber fascias because all wood glue and counter sunk wood placements take place in the rear of the panel. The smooth interior surface panels provide a beautiful appearance and protection for hooves. With Armour products, all hardware is included. Additional purchase of hardware "Kit" is unnecessary. Half Dutch Doors include two 6" zinc-plated "Tee-hinges," one zinc-plated Super Latch. All the necessary fasteners for lumber installations are included for the hinges and latch assembly. Half Dutch Doors come in a standard size of 48" wide by 48" high. This half Dutch stall gate will fit your opening of 48-1/2" width and may be used as a single swing shutter in any 48-1/2" wide by 48-1/2" height opening.
