Mr. Salmon, Pepper Hill Farm, called Armour regarding stall doors for his new heated 12 stall boarding facility and riding arena. Ventilation was of some concern due to the length of time the barn is closed for Maine’s cool weather. Stall doors were chosen with a Spring Loaded Fold Down Panel in each door top. This feature allows horse’s head to hang into the aisle or be retained in a moments notice. Armour’s Superstructure SDSO model door was chosen so the same lumber, which was used throughout the barn, could be used in the bottom of the stall door. Stall Divider Grilles were installed to allow neighboring equines visitation without contact. All stall fronts, doors and divider partitions are fabricated with Armour’s standard 3″ between bar spacing. Ventilation Grilles in the bottom of the stall front are assembled with a 1″ between bar spacing. Stall doors arrived with Armour’s best hardware package which includes: round track, ball-bearing trolleys, aluminum stops, heavy duty latch and adjustable stay roller. Whether you are building a barn for your own private home or a boarding facility, consider Armour’s components to complete your barn and stalls!
